Sunny has NOT at all quit weight lifting. He still does cardio strength training with weights daily, but for almost the last 11 years, he has also been using a lot more of resistance bands (which are actually more effective in strength training) in place of some (NOT all) of the weight lifting every single day. He is still THE STRONGEST muscleman in Bollywood today with those rock-hard muscles and heavy iron hands and still kicking butt. Rock on Sunny!
I am with Anonymous on this. Lifting weights (carefully) are a big part of Sunny Deol’s workout along with his other exercises, like standard bodyweight training, cardio yoga, and swimming etc. as it is hard to do without weights! He said so himself in interview! The He-Man ALWAYS keeps up with his strength and flexibility to keep on rocking! Just so one knows, he was born in 1961, NOT 1957! Do some more action flicks Sunny!
He has had back issues since joining Bollywood, but Sunny Deol is extremely tough as nails, very disciplined, super dedicated, and an absolute workhorse just like Sylvester Stallone. He still does his weight training the same way he has always done even before joining films, which is daily, meaning all 7 days a week. There is absolutely no cut down and definitely no stopping in his routine. He is a true Jat, who has built immense strength the old school hard-fashioned way and still does so even today at his home gym as well as out of town. Strength is great for health and fitness. People who work out regularly know and understand the meaning of ‘no pain, no gain’; our Jat hero is no different either. Jokers of Indian media need to stop picking on him. He is still the best macho action hero in Bollywood.
I am a huge fan of Sunny Deol, the very tough-as-nails macho action man! I join the other fans above and will also help make this very clear about our great Paaji (HE STILL ALWAYS STARTS HIS WORKOUT WITH WEIGHT TRAINING THE SAME WAY HE HAS ALWAYS DONE IT EVEN BEFORE JOINING MOVIES!). No excuses!! He is the real inspiration to workout the old-school way with very hard work (no shortcuts). It is amazing that despite his back issues since joining Bollywood in 1983, he is still at it and keeps on going, meaning he still works out, plays sports, and goes on long hikes; he can still do his own stunts! In all, he is truly the ageless (evergreen) He-Man with that sheer machismo and gorilla strength.
